What we collect
Only what you type into the enquiry form: your name, email address, telephone number, the service you selected, and the message you write.
This website sets no tracking cookies and runs no third-party analytics or advertising scripts. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
Why we use it, and on what basis
- To answer your enquiry and, where relevant, to advise on or take on your matter. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
- To keep a record of enquiries received, so that a matter can be traced later. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
- To comply with obligations that apply to a law firm, including record-keeping and anti-money-laundering duties. Legal basis: legal obligation.
We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell or rent them to anyone.
Sensitive data
Please do not send criminal records, health information, or other sensitive personal data through the enquiry form. If your matter involves such information, call us and we will arrange a secure way to receive it.
Who else sees it
- Our lawyers and staff working on your enquiry.
- Our hosting and email providers, which process the data on our instructions in order to deliver the website and our email.
- Courts, government agencies, or other parties where we are required or permitted by law to disclose, or where you instruct us to act.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become matters are deleted within two years. Where we are engaged, records are kept for ten years after the matter closes, in line with professional and statutory record-keeping requirements.
Your rights
Under the PDPA you may ask us to give you access to your data or a copy of it, correct it, delete it, suspend its use, or transfer it to another controller. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interest, and withdraw consent where we relied on consent.
Write to us at the email address above and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Personal Data Protection Committee.
Security
The website is served over HTTPS. Access to enquiry records is limited to staff who need it. No transmission over the internet is completely secure; please use the telephone for anything you consider highly confidential.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be published on this page with a new date.
